He loves to explore and travel and spending his summers at his favorite place, Herzl Camp in Wisconsin. Jonah wanted to make a difference when he saw the incredible food insecurity during the pandemic so for his Bar Mitzvah project he created MASKerAIDs as a way to raise money for the Jewish Family Services Food Pantry. MASKerAIDs are beaded lanyards that attach to face masks allowing them to hang around your neck readily accesible when not being used. He sold the MASKerAIDs with 100% of the proceeds going to JFS and has sold over 1,000 of them, raising $20,000 to help the hungry in our community. Jonah looks forward to continuing to serve the community through volunteerism and his B’nai Tzedek Fund at the Jewish Community Foundation.
