The Polsky Religious School

The Polsky Religious School creates Jewish Learning and Living Experiences that connect our children, families, and community. 

The Polsky Religious School is where the children of Congregation Beth Shalom gather to make Jewish friends while learning about their shared heritage, language, holidays, culture, and Torah based values.    

Hebrew: Reading Hebrew, leading services, and understanding prayers begins in the kindergarten giving our students a strong foundation for Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation and visits to Israel.  

Values: PRS students learn about the many Mitzvot that we can do to make our community a strong and happy one. They recite blessings of appreciation and know that helping those in need is what turns a child into a mensch.  

Holidays and culture: PRS students enjoy celebrating the Jewish holidays together. PRS holiday parties and special events are a fun way to make the Jewish calendar come alive.

PRS Scholarships

Talmid  

Talmid is a unique program for students in grades 3-7 who cannot attend PRS on Wednesdays. The focus is on Hebrew skills. Students meet from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm after PRS Sunday School in room 114.
