Recalling the loving work of Rickie Haith and “Prayer Works” and her retirement, a group of Beth Shalom’s Sisterhood wanted to continue the idea of group prayer for the sick. In the past when Rickie was unable to lead Prayers Works for several months, Suzanne Lange led a similar group called Prayer Partners. Suzanne has been a member of Beth Shalom for 14 years and active in Sisterhood.

The group will meet at Congregation Beth Shalom once each month from 10:00 until 11:30, depending on the synagogue schedule. The first meeting will be on September 10. Because of the many holidays in October the next meeting will be on Tuesday, November 12. No refreshments will be served.

Suzanne will lead Prayer Partners as a group to pray for those in need of healing. Each participant will bring an individual list of names for prayer. The group will then focus on relaxation and focused prayer. Former participants of Prayer Partners reported positive feelings after the group prayers as well an increased sense of community.
