Our Bar-B-Q Mitzvah party is a fun-raiser and a fundraiser.

Show your appreciation for Rabbi Glickman and all he has meant for the Kansas City community over these 13 years by celebrating with us on August 21—and by making a gift in his honor!

All funds raised through BBQ sales and generous gifts will benefit Beth Shalom’s Ner Tamid fund, ensuring the sustainability of our sacred space and congregation for future generations.

Rabbi/Pitmaster Mendel Segal returns to KC!

Known as RaBBi-Q, Mendel Segal is a nationally recognized, award-winning pitmaster and owner/chef of Mendel’s KC BBQ in Shaker Heights, OH. Folks in Kansas City also know him as the former executive director of the Vaad HaKashruth, and founder of the annual Kansas City Kosher BBQ Festival, which attracted more than 3,000 people.

Voted best band in Kansas City four years in a row, The KC All Stars are “the hottest dance-party band in the Midwest,” playing hits from every generation for partygoers of all ages. It’s the band Rabbi Glickman wishes he had at his bar mitzvah—and now he will!
