Beth Shalom Sisterhood Diaper Drive Fall 2024

Did you know that half of families in Kansas City cannot afford the number of diapers they need? Were you aware that federal programs cover the cost of diapers for babies, but do not cover sizes 4,5, and 6? And to pay for diapers, families may have to forego paying rent or utilities.

Beth Shalom’s Sisterhood is pleased to support Happy Bottoms, a national organization that collaborates with local agencies to fill the need for diapers. Currently, Happy Bottoms distributes diapers to over 40 local organizations, including hospitals and social service agencies. The diaper drive will take place September 1–October 15.

You can help alleviate the diaper deficit by dropping boxes of diapers into the collection boxes at the synagogue. This is a wonderful way to demonstrate Tzedaka and Tikkun Olam with your children, or you can stretch your dollars further by donating online by following the link on Beth Shalom Sisterhood’s website, or use this link: DONATE HERE.
