Celebrating Sukkot with a Jewish Living Experience, Beth Shalom families came together to pray, volunteer, learn, and have fun in the KC Mitzvah Garden. Check out the photo gallery below.
We started the day with family tefillah, followed by learning about the Mitzvah Garden and the projects with which we would be helping. Then, each grade (K-10) picked pears, made cider, pulled corn and sweet potatoes, and so much more. After the harvest, we competed in potato races, watched how popcorn is made naturally, and wrote reflections about our day. Our reflections will soon be displayed at Beth Shalom.
Many thanks to the Polsky Family Foundation and the KC Mitzvah Garden for making this possible
Sukkot Under the Stars was a festive, fall feast! Congregants and families of all ages celebrated while davening and dining.
