Consecration

Beth Shalom welcomes our Kindergartners from the Polsky Religious School and HBHA to a life of Jewish learning. The ceremony takes place on the bimah in the sanctuary near the end of Shabbat morning services. It includes some songs, a few words from the Rabbi, and the presentation of a mini-Torah to each child. The ceremony concludes with the blessing of the Kindergartners and their parents under a large Tallit. Attire is dressy; kippot will be provided. 

After services, there will be a Kiddush lunch for the congregation with the addition of a special buffet for the class and other young children.
