American Public Square at Jewell, JCRB|AJC Kansas City and Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City will jointly present an evening event, “The Rise of Antisemitism from the Left and the Right,” Thursday, September 2, 6:30pm at Union Station Kansas City – both in-person and virtual viewing will be available. The program will highlight the increasing presence of antisemitism in the U.S. and its unexpected sources. The panel discussion will be moderated by Dr. Ethan Katz, associate professor in the Department of History and the Center for Jewish Studies at UC Berkeley. Distinguished panelists include Congressman Ted Deutch of Florida; Dr. Jonathan Judaken, Spence L. Wilson Chair in Humanities at Rhodes College; Yavilah McCoy, CEO of DIMENSIONS Inc.; Batya Ungar-Sargon, deputy opinion editor at Newsweek; and Eric K. Ward, senior fellow at the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Tickets are complimentary, but registration is required for in-person and virtual viewing. Face masks will be required, irrespective of vaccination status, for in-person attendance, which will be limited to approximately 100 guests in the 400+ capacity Regnier Extreme Screen Theatre at Union Station Kansas City.
