Hosted jointly by Congregation Beth Shalom and Kehilath Israel Synagogue, experience the American Jewish deli experience in Kansas City!

Featuring authentic kosher Zabar’s Corned Beef, pastrami and salami with deli mustard, Classic deli sides, and assorted Zabar’s bakery desserts.

Dr. RB Perelmutter, KU Jewish Studies, will give a presentation on the history of American Jewish Delis. 

$40 per person

Cost covers:
– 8 ounce sandwich shipped in from Zabar’s with your choice of pastrami, corned beef, or salami on sliced rye
– Classic deli slides like potato salad, coleslaw and pickles
– Variety of pareve desserts from Zabar’s including chocolate babka, black and white cookies, hamentaschen, and cinnamon rugelach
– Fascinating presentation by a local scholar on the rich history of American Jewish Delis
