Jacob Levi Palan

Jacob Levi Palan is the son of David & Amanda Palan. He is the grandson of Robert & Barbara Palan, Overland Park, KS, and Tylar & Carol Ann Hecht, of Annapolis, MD. He is the brother of Ariel Palan. Jacob attends Overland Trail Middle School. Jacob plays tennis and soccer and is a second degree Black Belt in taekwondo. In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with his friends, playing Xbox, and swimming at the lake. For his Mitzvah Project, Jacob is raising money for the Celiac Disease Foundation. Celiac disease is one of the world’s most prevalent genetic autoimmune diseases, affecting an estimated three million Americans, 70-80% of whom are undiagnosed. The Celiac Disease Foundation supports research, advocacy and education initia-tives to accelerate diagnosis, treatments and a cure. He is also collecting food donations for JFS Food pantry, including gluten free items for clients with special dietary needs.
