We hope you will join us as we formally celebrate the combining of Congregation Ohev Sholom and Congregation Beth Shalom. On Shabbat morning, we will honor all the volunteer leadership who have worked for over a year to make this a reality. We will dress Torah Scrolls from both Ohev Sholom and Beth Shalom in their traditional white covers as we prepare for our first combined High Holiday season.
We will also be honoring Harold Kaseff, who led the joint task force and worked tirelessly to ensure the congregations came together under mutually agreeable terms. Harold will be presented with the Kovod Award, recognizing his commitment to both congregations and the overall Jewish Community of Kansas City.
