Shabbat Shel Shalom
A Shabbat of Peace, Love and Understanding
Both our congregation and the Greater Kansas City community have the incredible opportunity to meet and enjoy the music of the iconic, Israeli superstar, David Broza, on December 10. Singer-songwriter Broza, one of the world’s most dynamic and vibrant performers, is also actively involved in humanitarian projects, promoting peace, love and greater human understanding since the song “Yihye Tov” (Things Will Get Better) first hit the airwaves.
Join Us Shabbat Morning to Pray and Hear David Broza
On Shabbat Morning, Broza will be our Kaplan Scholar Artist-in-Residence and will speak about the background to his lyrics as well as his work with Palestinians for his most recent album. Following services, there will be a special Kiddush Luncheon welcoming David Broza to our community. All are welcome to attend.
Join Us Saturday Night for the Concert of Broza and Paris
We will welcome David Broza to the stage. Joining Broza will be Ali Paris, who has collaborated with Broza before and captivates audiences worldwide with his unique fusion of Middle Eastern and Western music styles. Ali’s music education in Arabic traditional music began at a very young age. He was a child prodigy, touring internationally by the age of 12.
The concert begins at 8:00 pm, at the beautiful 1900 Building, a Karbank project, Shawnee Mission Parkway and State Line. Besides incredible entertainment, there will be a dessert reception. Learn more about the fundraiser. Concert is sold out.
